Huge mud flats along the Trondheimsfjord attract thousands of northern migrants such as divers, grebes, swans, geese, ducks, raptors, waders and gulls as well as boreal and scandinavian specialities as owls, woodpeckers, grouses and raptors commonly breed in the forests at higher altitudes.
